University Project - ISTD: Mutton Quad
The brief was to design a typographically themed restaurant, I designed the menus (Main/Drinks/Sides) to look like they all came straight out of design studio. With visual references to a Cutting Mat, Pantone book and a Moleskine notebook.
The idea originally started out as a quick meal lunch restaurant for designers to go and think over jobs and brain storm in a restaurant that would be filled with inspirational images, not only on the walls but on the reverse of menus that they could take home and use as posters to inspire away from the restaurant. This changed during development though and whilst it still adheres to it’s roots and inspirational workshop restaurant, it also offers a friendly place for anyone who enjoys good food and good design, no matter what time of day. There is a good sense of togetherness surrounded around the food and those who eat here with all of the meals coming with a shareable option, this is to further the idea of people working together and collaborating in the design studio environment
